The sun shone, having no alternative, on the nothing new.
You must go on, I can't go on, I'll go on.

Mountain
04:40
|

I want to be a part of you
I'm just what I observe
I am only what I taste
but I want to be a mountain
I want to be an ocean
I want to be inside of you.

Mercator

I just want to draw a line,
measure out the distances.
The shortest path from A to B
can warp into a curve
when we stretch the real space,
the globe into the map.
Any time I draw a line, it's a distortion.
A distortion
And when I try to speak to you,
to tell you what my worries are,
I convert all my thoughts into
imperfect words and gestures.
The moment that they leave my mouth,
are pulled into the air I breathe,
it's a distortion.
A distortion

I regret every stupid thing I've ever done.
I can't forget any stupid thing I've ever done.

Ghosts in the wood
03:49
|
|||
The haunted places are made of wood.
It traps and keeps the voices of a home.
Echoing for centuries,
"Do you know what I have seen?
Do you know what I have done?"
I want any house we live in to be made of wood.
I want your voice captured next to mine,
held and trapped in time as the world
around us falls.
A reminder,
A presence
I never want to lose you.
I never want the world to lose us.

Spirituality exhibition

We're taking pictures of you.
We're leaving halfway through.
We like to think we're spiritual, too.
But there's a parasite living down in my gut
and he's emptying me from the inside.
I'm hollow, I'm weak,
I'm not like you.
I'm not like you.
We're taking pictures of you.
We're taking pictures of statues, too.
We like to think we're spiritual.
We like to think we're spiritual.
I'm not like you.
I'm not like you.

Anynothing

You're absolutely right,
I can't do anything.
You're absolutely right,
I'm destined to fail.
Just look in my windows,
just look in my eyes,
but don't look in the basement, no,
don't look in the basement.
This house is falling inward,
the mud and rocks and water,
this house is caving inward,
hell above, sky below,
and I can't do anything.
I can't do anything.
I can't do anything,
but I can't do anything else.

but understand
that I love you

An easy winter
03:04
|
|||
I'm suspending disbelief,
I want to be convinced.
The leaves are turning, now.
The days are darker, now.
Tell me that it's going to be
an easy winter.
